Fitting workouts into a busy life can be a challenge at the best of times. When you’ve got a demanding career, children – or both – calling on your time, something has to give and often it’s exercise. Add Christmas into the mix and finding time to run is even more of a challenge.
But not only is running the perfect workout for the time poor, research shows it can actually help you manage a busy life and ease daily stresses. A study from Princeton University in the US found aerobic activity such as running helps re-organise your brain, reducing its response to stress and making anxiety less likely to interfere with normal brain function. Here’s how to run your way through to new year – stress free.
