Yoga is a vast subject since it deals with life.
Ahimsa - Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra in Parisamvada

One of the areas it talks about is related to our interpersonal behaviour. One of the ideas is non-injury. This kind of concept is considered from a very different angle because one requires it in yoga. If one follows it then one becomes very conscious of everything that one does.

Non hurting: this can happen at various levels in our dealings with others. If we are very selfish, we don’t care about other individuals. We also hurt animals. In fact, this hurting goes on all the time but we are not aware, we are not conscious and we are not particular. We live our life for ourselves. The discipline to be mindful of others is a great thing. The suggestions in yoga are not merely theoretical and verbal. They are practical. They deal with actual life situations. And that is very hard. We can say, ‘don’t hurt’, but every moment we are hurting. We are getting late and we tell the driver or someone to hurry up and no explanation is tolerated.
