Dora Does knows you can absolutely crochet your own clothes
When I crocheted a sweater for first time I was convinced I was going to mess it up. Surely such a thing was way beyond my skill level? So no-one was more surprised than me when it turned out fine and actually fit. Sure, some of the seams were a bit bumpy and I definitely didn’t block it properly, but it was wearable, cosy and even looked like the picture!
A PROBLEM SHARED
I began learning all about the different construction methods and techniques involved in crocheting garments. I fell in love with the process and wanted to share it with everyone who would listen. As I published more designs, I started seeing comments which mirrored those familiar reservations I first had. Responses such as “I could never make that” and “crochet sweaters never fit me” littered my social media. I knew, that with just a bit of extra guidance, these commenters could absolutely crochet their own clothes.
