Famous for her quirky knits and crazy critters, textile designer Donna Wilson has one of the most distinctive styles in the homeware business
Originally from Aberdeenshire, Donna came to London to study at the Royal College of Art in 2000 and never left. Her collections of knitted textiles have grown to encompass ceramics and glassware, and collaborations with John Lewis, Mamas & Papas and Ercol. She lives in Leytonstone, east London, with her husband Jon Almond, a furniture designer, their sons, Eli, three, and Logie, 21 months, and two cats, Mimi and Dusty.
The last thing I bought for my home was a load of storage from Ikea.
I'm desperately trying to get the toy situation under control in my home! I don’t like too much clutter but I’m definitely not minimal either. I have a special shelf in our living room that’s free from all the kids’ clutter. I use it to display my collection of vases by glassblower Michael Ruh. The colours are all browns, reds and oranges.
We live in a three-bedroom cottage.
