This apartment, designed in collaboration by Rust and Even, for a couturier of bridal attire, and converted from a 4BHK to a 3BHK, is located in a highrise in a posh, urban suburb. The client’s high sense of style, and love for fabrics and prints, is reflected in the design of the apartment. The use of various fabrics has been explored, which have been exclusively selected and customised, to make this home a tastefully evolved ‘crafted’ space.
The collaboration between Rust and Even appears tailor-made for the project. Rust, led by Mitesh Antala, bends towards applying a sustainable approach to use natural materials in a unique way, an understanding that developed through the designer’s travels around the world, when he observed different materials and techniques. Even, led by Parth & Janaki, attempts to explore, local crafts and techniques, through their practice.
Luxury is felt in every corner of the home, be it with the light fixtures, automated curtains, or the richcoloured veneer, brass, and marble finishes, and even the entrance, with all of its artworks customised.
The main door, embellished with floral motifs, flanked by traditional niches and light lamps, reflects the style to be expected inside. The vestibule, which is minimalist, and fused with traditional elements, gives the space a timeless and tranquil feel. The seating in the foyer is a redefined version of a traditional Indian swing (jhula).

Smart Urban Design Statement
Imagine an abode premeditated for a family of three generations (and a probable fourth in the near future). ‘Never-Apart-ment’ is located in a dense layout of the new development engulfing the city of Hyderabad. The architects of this project Baba Sashank and Vindhya Guduru, the founders of Spaceficition Studio, masterminded the primary outcome of the concept that will be overcoming the drawbacks of a vertical settlement. The sole aim behind this ‘home-sweet-home’ was to keep the social interaction between the family members alive. The form generated is a direct consequence of this, the context and the brief.
