The firm’s design philosophy is aptly demonstrated through the clean, modern lines of this beautiful house.

The very first house to be called “home” by an excited home owner, this new build stands out for its modernity – a trait that is reflected in every aspect, from structure to layout and design.

Modern does not equal cold or sterile in this case, however. The home owner’s wish was to create a warm, welcoming space that instantly makes visitors feel as though they are in a home away from home, and this was realised through her interior designer.

The client intended their home, located in one of Johannesburg’s most sought-after suburbs, to be welcoming for friends while still offering a warm family feel. SBE was able to answer this brief thanks to years of experience, drawing on insights gleaned during this time to design a home that makes an unmistakeable statement.
