Pieces from Hades footwear are epic constructions that appear fit for a steampunk adventure, a sci-fi journey, or a post-apocalyptic odyssey. They don’t just add to the story, they are the story. You’ll be hard-pressed to find an outfit that can match a Hades Footwear piece in terms of creativity or sheer intensity.

Despite the larger-than-life attitude of their designs, the Hades Footwear team is a rather young company with a modestly-sized team. The company, founded in 2010, currently works with just two designers. Their initial vision—to incorporate Goth and Steampunk into their designs—can clearly be seen through their use of gears, spikes, metals, and their general color palette. Then as the brand grew they began to expand their design concepts, focusing not just on Steampunk and Goth but also encompassing looks for “anyone who wants to wear something engaging but also unique and rebellious,” says David Chen, owner of Hades.
