A flick of liner is one of the oldest face-flattering tricks in the book. Here’s how to nail it.
The line is wonky, there’s a faint black imprint in your eye socket and as for the angle of that flick, well – it’s just all wrong. Welcome to feline flick group therapy. We’re all friends here and, yes, we’ve already gone through some of the near three million hits on Google to find the elusive answer to really getting eyeliner application right.
Our obsession is justified. “A feline flick creates a sexy mysteriousness to the eye area,” says the make-up artist behind the look you see here, Lynsey Alexander. “Anything that makes the eye appear more almond-shaped has the effect of making the eyes appear bigger, too.” Think Sophia Loren and Alexa Chung, as well as the designers who’ve made it their trademark beauty look – Dolce & Gabbana – for inspiration.
