Iniala Beach House - Art By The Sea

The luxury beach resort experience taken to artistic heights.

Iniala calls itself a Beach House, and we knew to expect much more than natural woods, string hammocks, and barefoot dinners by the sea. But nothing quite prepared us for anything so fantastical when we stepped into our Penthouse Suite, covered in wall-to-wall sand-coloured shagpile with the undulations of desert dunes, where memory foam backing gave the sensation of walking on sand. And so we traipsed through this design Adventureland, gasping at the sunken harem-style settee, and the futuristic shower capsule and Jacuzzi oasis in the middle of the bedroom where a white leather clam-like bed was suspended from the ceiling. A little Austin Powers, we thought to ourselves, as we drew open the wraparound curtains to reveal the massive infinity pool that cut right into the dining room where a Thai feast was awaiting. In the horizon, the classic Thai resort view of coconut trees and pavilion-style rooftops—totally East meets the wildest imagination.
