In The Bag!

Packing your hospital bag for your baby’s arrival can be pretty daunting; it may feel like you’re packing for a month’s holiday and you’ll no doubt be hoping that you don’t forget something important. Most hospitals provide a list of what they expect you to bring, but they cover mostly the bare essentials. Here’s our definitive guide to everything you’ll need for your hospital bag.

PACKING FOR LABOUR AND BIRTH

Don’t forget your hospital admission documents and your stem cell storage kit if you are going that route.

-Dressing gown.

-Comfortable pyjamas that you don’t mind getting messy.

-Slippers and socks.

-Lip balm.

-A clean facecloth for cooling your face during labour.

-Snacks and drinks for natural labour.

-Things to help you relax and pass the time like books and magazines.

-Hairband or clips to tie back your hair if it’s long.
