Biggest Baby Does Christmas

SYDNEY MUM NIKKI’S NEW ADDITION IS SERIOUSLY CUTE

When baby Parker arrived, midwives all over Blacktown hospital, where he was born, flocked to see him. At 5.75kg he was the biggest bub they remember delivering naturally.

“When they put him on my chest he felt so heavy and all the midwife who delivered him said was ‘wow,’” his mum, Nikki Bell, tells New Idea, laughing.

“They were all guessing his weight, but when he went on the scales they were still surprised. Afterwards there was definitely a bit of shock as everyone wondered how he managed to come out!”

Incredibly the 29-year-old mum, who didn’t have time for any pain relief, says it wasn’t as hard as delivering her daughter Maddison.

“She was 4.84 kilos so I guess she paved the way,” Nikki smiles. “It was quicker and easier this time but, however it happens, all mums do such a good job. If they’re 1.7 kilos or 5.7 kilos, they still hurt!”

Just six weeks after the birth, Nikki decided to create something special for Parker’s first Christmas.
