JAKE & ELLE ‘OUR BATTLE TO WIN'

As Jake says, this year’s MKR: The Rivals grand final feels a bit like “history repeating itself ”.

THE BROTHER AND SISTER ARE OUT TO WIN IN THE GRAND FINAL

In 2013, Jake and Elle cooked against Dan and Steph in the MKR grand final, but unfortunately for the brother sister duo, Dan and Steph were crowned that year’s winners.

Now Jake and Elle have a second chance to win, after cementing their spot in the grand final last week.

“To get a second chance is pretty rare,” Elle tells New Idea of heading into the grand final. “We just thought we should give it a red-hot go.”

The pair are yet to find out whether they will once again compete against Dan and Steph, or if they will go head-to-head with siblings Mark and Lauren.

But, whoever they’re up against, Jake and Elle are proud they have been able to show how much their cooking has improved since their last season.

“I think we have been working in a kitchen all the years in between, so we know how to act in a professional manner,” admits Elle.
