Lucy Durack: Double The Christmas Joy

THE MUSICAL THEATRE STAR ON HER CHRISTMAS PLANS AND CAROLS IN THE DOMAIN

After recently welcoming her second child, Theodore ‘Teddy’ in October this year, musical-theatre star Lucy Durack and her husband Chris Horsey have double the joy to look forward to this Christmas.

“Now that we have two kids, I am pretty excited for Christmas,” she tells New Idea.

“I am someone who rejoices when the shops start decorating, playing carols and selling fruit mince pies in September.”

While Christmas is normally a time to sit back and relax, Lucy is set to have a busier month than ever with only a couple of days off over Christmas as she prepares for her coming role as Fiona in Shrek The Musical alongside Ben Mingay.

But despite her packed schedule over the Christmas season, Lucy and the family – who normally jet-set all over Australia during the holiday period – are set to stay put this year.

“Usually I fly over to Perth (where my family are) or to the Gold Coast (where Chris’ family are) first thing Christmas morning,” she says.
