Fashion royalty, runway regular, and now, the youngest face of Omega. At 16, Kaia Gerber is speed shuffling her way to the top. MELAINNE CHIEW finds out more
NOT MERELY COASTING through life as an emblematic celebrity offspring, Kaia Gerber is by her own right, a bona fide superstar. At 16, the daughter of Original Supermodel Cindy Crawford is already a multi-hyphenate, after kicking off her own modelling career at only 10 years old with Young Versace. Now, Gerber has a string of high-profile gigs to her name, including cover shoots for Vogue magazine, and walking the runway for Prada, Fendi, Saint Laurent and Marc Jacobs, and then some. The American It muse, who starred in the 2016 movie Sister Cities, most recently made headlines as the face of Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2018 handbag campaign.
Taking after her mother in more ways than almost carbon-copied exceptional good looks, Gerber has also been appointed Omega’s youngest ambassador alongside her 19-year-old brother Presley. The siblings join their mother Crawford, who was the brand’s first and most enduring representative.
