As you drive the last few kilometers to the Lodge, small wooden plaques with these three statements inscribed on them hint at what to expect from isibindi Africa's Thonga Beach Lodge.
Unspoilt, idyllic, pristine beach and aqua blue ocean as far as the eye can see awaits visitors to Isibindi’s, Thonga Beach Lodge, which is situated on KZN’S Elephant Coast.
A five-hour trip by car from Durban and nine hours from Johannesburg, Thonga Beach Lodge provides the perfect place to escape the city’s rat race and “Clear the mind”.
The roads to the lodge are for the most part in good condition however the last 27km are on sand roads with most of it being soft and deeply rutted in areas requiring a 4 x 4 vehicle. Thonga Beach Lodge do offer transfers in 4 x 4 vehicles from the Coastal Cashews at 12h00 and 15h00 daily. Cars can be parked securely within the Coastal Cashew grounds for the duration of your stay.
