All Out! The preston innovations qualifiers have come to an end, but let’s have a look at how the final two rounds of qualifying shaped up…
QUALIFIER NINE – WESTON POOLS
Welsh internationals Ben Roberts and team mate Darren Frost cruised to victory in Round Nine of the competition at the wonderful Weston Pools Fishery. With a no ice-breaking policy in place at the fishery ice-free pegs were at a premium, but after some careful planning by the fishery management the event went ahead as planned.
It was Ben who ran out as individual winner on the day with a weight of 34-0-0, an excellent performance on what was an incredibly tough day due to conditions. That, along with Darren’s 11-2-0 net gave the pair a total weight of 45-2-0 and a ticket to this year’s final.
