Sniper Elite Has Vast Expansive Maps That Make This the Best Game in the  Series Except for the Ai and Graphics Which Are Lackluster.

Like every stealth game out there, you can play Sniper Elite 4 like the way Rebellion wanted, as a long drawn out game with each level taking up at least 2 hours as you take out Nazi stooges one after the other. Or, you can treat it like a brawler FPS and use your SMG over your rifle to have a more up and personal combat experience. We tried out both. We liked the stealth approach and most of the game was played that way. Here’s how it went down for us.

GAMEPLAY

The game starts out on an easy pace, the enemies are all stupid enough to not tell the difference between a rock and the player the moment you crouch. Sniper Elite 4 isn’t that different from Sniper Elite 3 except for the fact that Sniper Elite 3 sucked balls. Sniper Elite 4, on the other hand, is a massive improvement over Sniper Elite 3 in terms of the number of weapons you get to play around with and the size of the maps. The maps are huge and it actually feels like you are a sniper whose job is to finish the business from far far away. Levels are very well done and there are multiple ways to get to your objective or vantage point.

The game comes down to finding a few vantage spots to wipe out every visible enemy before switching to the next spot. Now, let’s say you don’t want to relocate i.e. you’re the cocky kind. Then there’s a little aspect built into the game which makes trainers and cheat codes redundant. It’s called crouching. There are these short shrubs which you can use to your advantage and the moment you drop down, the enemy loses all sight and logic goes out of the window. Also, if you have set off maximum alert then stepping a few meters away, out of sight and then firing another weapon will reduce the alert level. Yep, firing a weapon at max alert level takes it down a notch.
