Toughness Key For GSA's Volleyball Success

BLUE HILL—The George Stevens Academy volleyball team has not lost a match since September 27 and has only dropped two sets in five matches.

The Eagles look to carry that success into the final regular-season match at home against Jonesport on October 21, and then into the playoffs once the official standings are set.

“The girls are a lot more mentally tough this year than they have been in the past,” said co-coach Aleta Schmidt of her team’s success. “I believe they are really starting to trust each other to do the job and play the position they are out there to play.”
