Age be damned, 49-year-old Nicole Kidman is trying for another child with husband Keith Urban — and sources say there should be big news coming soon!

She may be pushing 50 (her birthday is in June), but Nicole Kidman clearly has babies on the brain. In a recent interview, the acclaimed actress and mother of four told a reporter quite frankly that she and her husband, Keith Urban, haven’t given up on the idea of expanding their brood. “Keith and I would love to have more babies,” she said. “I still have the faintest hope that something may happen to me this year. My grandmother gave birth to my mother at 49! I would be beyond happy and just welcome it with open arms.” She added, “Children are the joy of my life.”

It’s far from the first time Nicole’s expressed such sentiments: She began talking about her super fertile maternal grandmother (and the inspiration she takes from her example) in interviews a couple of years back, and she recently told a different journalist, “I love raising children — they make me feel good!” Now, a source close to the couple reveals that Nicole’s comments are not just idle chatter: She and Keith are trying for a third baby! And it’s a decision they reached after much turmoil.
