Analysts are predicting one of the biggest summer sales on record this year as stores flog unsold stock.
Experts say customers could see reductions of up to 70% throughout July, August, and September.
Clothes stores will offer the best deals as firms race to sell seasonal fashions to create space in warehouses and supply chains.
Many retailers have already started sales, with Marks & Spencer, Whistles and Topshop offering up to 50% discounts online.
Clive Black, a retail analyst at Shore Capital, said: “There is a tidal wave of cheap clothes coming our way.
