Kerala To Ease Lockdown Curbs From Today

The Kerala government has decided to ease the lockdown restrictions in some parts of the state, effective from Monday. The decision comes after the state administration successfully managed to flatten the COVID-19 curve. In districts, even restaurants, shops, and public transport facilities will be allowed to operate.

Kerala To Ease Lockdown Curbs From Today

The state government has classified the districts under four different zones. The red zone, denoting high-risk districts will be under complete lockdown till May 3. Districts such as Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, and Malappuram are classified under the red zone. The borders of these districts and specific hotspot villages would be sealed with a maximum of two entry or exit points for the supply of essential services. All types of social, political and religious gatherings will also be banned in these districts.
