CCTV Fi rm Claims To Have Installed Devices

Lookman Electroplast In­dustries Ltd. has claimed that it installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at 38 of the 40 junctions proposed in the city and had even held a live demonstra­tion for police ocials.

The Chennai police had recently registered an FIR against the company, accus­ ing it of not installing CCTVs despite being paid 2.69 crore between April and De­cember 2011. The company was mandated to install the CCTV cameras in 12 weeks.
