Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, who visited the curfew-bound coastal city on Saturday, promised an inquiry into the violence during anti-CAA protests, which left two dead in police firing.
Addressing presspersons after reviewing the law and order situation in the city with senior police officials and the district administration officials, Mr. Yediyurappa, however, did not reveal the nature of the inquiry and said that no time frame could be fixed at this juncture on completion of investigation. He said that the nature of the investigation will be decided in consultation with Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
