Binny's likely appointment as president sparks speculation over former india captain's future role in cricket board

Binny, who is currently the president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), and rest of the candidates for the office-bearer's posts filed their nominations at the BCCI office in the presence of BCCI election officer AK Joti on Tuesday. The BCCI election and the Annual General Meeting will take place here on October 18.

The candidates were finalized at a late-night meeting of all state representatives here on Monday called by the BCCI to decide on the five office-bearers' posts. Binny's arrival for this meeting confirmed earlier reports that he was a hot favourite for the top post.
