Pro pooch photographer Kingsley Singleton is no stranger to excitable subjects, but how will he cope with our Apprentice’s trio of chaotic canines?
As pro-dog photographer Kingsley Singleton arrived at Lynne Watkins’ home, he was nearly bowled over by three Dalmatians: Rosie, Bailey, and Pongo. Having fussed over each one he was invited into the garden, where Lynne had prepared a pot of tea and a sealed container full of cakes (more on that later). Kingsley asked Lynne if she knew of anywhere photogenic where the dogs would feel at home. Luckily, she’d arranged to visit a friend’s gated garden…
Presented with the beautiful cottage’s vast grounds, the Dalmatians bolted off to explore. Unfazed, Kingsley started to unload his kit. “I find you just write off the first 10 minutes and let the dogs do as they will – then they calm down,” he said. By the time an opening shot had been discussed, the trio seemed slightly more malleable and Rosie had emerged the most cooperative sitter of the bunch.
