Bluebell Banger

Recent captor of the Burghfield Common, Scott Lloyd has shifted his attention to the famous Bluebell Lakes complex in Northamptonshire where he was rewarded with this cracking 37lb mirror (right) during a recent overnighter on Kingfisher Lake.

The 26-year-old overhead linesman from Crewe used Sticky Krill boilies, offering a solid bag loaded with a blow-back rig made from a size 6 wide gape hook, 18lb Supernatural link and 5oz flat pear lead. Scott told Carp-Talk: “After a good walk around the lake I soon found a group of fish patrolling the edge. I had some solid bags already tied up so I quickly lowered them into position, the result being this banger of a mirror at 37lb.”

Andrew Blythe from Whittlesey, Peterborough, landed this 42lb 10oz mirror (above) known as BB during a 48-hour trip to his Earith Lakes’ Woodpecker syndicate. In the same session he also tempted the only leather in the lake weighing 29lb as well as a 26¾lb common. He put his faith in Premium Carp Fishing Stinky Pinky pop-ups, fishing hookbaits over a bed of Coco Fruit freebies to a weedbed at 120 yards range.
