James Forrest wants to build on Celtic’s unparalleled success with yet more accolades this campaign
Having scored 25 competitive goals in all competitions so far, the Scottish champions have started the campaign in style, and, better still, are already showing the grit, determination and ruthlessness required to make this season as successful as years gone by.
James Forrest, now in his 11th season in the Hoops’ senior side, reckons the importance of winning and retaining silverware extends to everyone at the club – whether undertaking your ninth title defence or your first.
“It’s important to remember the hard work that everyone has done to get us where we are just now,” said Forrest in an exclusive interview with the Celtic View. “We want to make sure that we’re working hard every year, harder even, to stay at the top.
The teams around us are always improving, so I think it’s very important for us to stay on our toes, take nothing for granted, and continue to play at the top of our game.
“We’ve got a tight group in the changing room and a really good bunch of boys who are really close. We’re with each other pretty much every day, so success means everything to everyone, no matter how long they’ve been part of this great club.
