India humbled England by 434 runs in the third Test match of the ongoing five-match series. India dominated the scenes in Rajkot and closed things down on Day 4. Centuries from Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja helped the hosts manage 445/10 in the first innings. Debutant Sarfaraz Khan shined with a knock of 62. England were flying high with a score of 224/2 at one stage in response, but India despite being a bowler down, forced a collapse as England fell for 319. India gained a 126-run lead.
Yashasvi Jaiswal then slammed a record-breaking double-century in the second innings as India set a target of 557. Shubman Gill played well for his 91. England had no clue with the bat and fell prey to a disciplined Indian bowling. Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers. England folded for 122 in the second innings. England were folded in 39.4 overs.

ROHIT SHARMA BREAKS DHONI’S RECORD
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma hit a sparkling 131 from 196 balls in the first innings. He hit 14 fours and three sixes. With his second six of the inning, Rohit surpassed MS Dhoni in terms of sixes by an Indian player in the longest format. Dhoni smashed 78 sixes in his career. Rohit has 80 sixes and is only behind Virender Sehwag, who has slammed 91 maximums.
