On The Bench
Shooting Gazette
|December 2019
Whether you’re in shooting, politics or the law, there's always plenty to talk about, especially when all three parties are involved, as The Back Gun explains.

The Back Gun is a lawa biding chap, not knowingly overstepping the legal line and certainly not behind the wheel or with weapon in paw. He has always tipped his titfer to m’learned friends on the bench, particularly after the little misunderstanding following the Varsity Match in 1962 when strong drink had been taken. However, having served on a couple of juries, being a pillar of the local community and all, observation of the law and its practitioners at work is often as mysterious as suddenly losing the accuracy plot halfway through a particularly good drive.
