No, I’m seriously asking. This is always the most exciting time of the year for football fans apart from the start of the playoffs. But since the Giants haven’t been to the dance since 2016, this is all we have.
And right now, we have a team that is expected to do great things on defense and an offense that looks as though it’s stuck in neutral. The injuries have not only piled up, but they’ve also lingered. We all expected Saquon Barkley to miss significant time. Hell, I wrote that I didn’t even want him on the Giants’ sideline until opening day. But the injuries to Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and up until recently, Kyle Rudolph have been, if not a black cloud, an extremely gray one.
I will typically attempt to make this a “hype” column and get the Big Blue juices flowing, but the issues that remain on the offensive side of the ball have me extremely concerned about the 2021 season and my expectations.
