We are past the halfway point of the 2017 season and frustration has boiled over.
A few weeks back, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was suspended a game for remarks about Ben McAdoo and for missing practice. Then just recently, Janoris Jenkins was suspended a game due to missing practice. Coach McAdoo addressed the media with this statement about Janoris: “As a member of this team, there are standards and we have responsibilities and obligations. When we don’t fulfill those obligations there are consequences. As I have said before, we do not like to handle our team discipline publicly. There are times when it is unavoidable. And this is one of those times.”
Understandably to everyone, the defense is getting tired of being on the field for more than three quarters of the game. Yet there is a time and place for such things. Settling your feelings or concerns about issues like this should be done internally and in private. This behavior is transforming an already depleted team into a team showing absolutely no heart. A team that’s divided has no chance at not only winning games but also shows no class, and class is something that the New York Football Giants organization prides itself on. There is cause for a great level of concern for the rest of this season.
