Rookie running back Wayne Gallman and Orleans Darkwa ran all over San Diego. They combined for 19 carries for 126 yards. Darkwa ran for a 23 yard score but according to McAdoo hurt his calf on the run and was not seen much thereafter. Gallman was inexplicably nowhere to be seen on the Giants’ last drive of the game even though he had much success early in the contest.
