Economist, Prasenjit Bose says,” Making India completely digital and going cashless is not possible right now. For that to happen, we need financial literacy. More importantly, we need digital literacy. We can’t force people to go digital in a country where two-thirds of the population reside in villages. Almost a quarter of the rural populace doesn’t have mobile phones, let alone smartphones. Many villagers do not have a bank account. They do not know how to open an account. Yet, we are forcing people to go cashless due to demonetization. That’s not the way to use technology. Basically, it is created for urban India and we can’t impose it on everyone.”
Perhaps, When you read this article, the government would have presented its path-breaking budget-2017 on February 1, People fervently waiting for this budget for four possible reasons- the First budget after demonetization move, Last budget before the introduction of Goods & Service Tax, The budget suppose to focused on poll-bound states and last but not the least, as claimed by Union State Finance Minister that, the budget would focus on cashless economy. Interestingly, on the Cashless economy, the IT giant and promoter of Microsoft, Bill gates quoted, “India is still coming to grips with Prime Minister Modi’s ‘shock and awe’ approach to demonetization, which should be seen as an important element of his ambitious digital India mission.” The impromptu decision on demonetization not only make busy to the people standing in the queue, but eminent economists are too busy with their calculator to measure the effectiveness of the counterfeit notes, currencies and it’s significant and after few weeks of the decision, the demonetization move transformed in pitched for creating a cashless society. According to a study done by Tufts University in 2014, The Cost Of Cash In India, cash operations cost the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and commercial banks about Rs21,000 crore annually.

A Tipping Point Missed
Before America and the world settle in firmly to the new Donald Trumpbased reality, let’s take a little trip down the road not taken. Suppose we had woken up last Wednesday morning to a President-elect Hillary Clinton. And let’s say that, instead of former Portuguese Prime Minister António Guterres, New Zealand’s Helen Clark or Bulgaria’s Kristalina Georgieva had been picked to succeed Ban Ki-moon as United Nations Secretary-General.Clinton would have joined the United Kingdom’s Theresa May and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, helping achieve critical mass in the G7. And a female UN Secretary General would have placed women at the helm of two of the world’s three biggest international organizations (France’s Christine Lagarde already runs the International Monetary Fund).

Opportunities in Higher Education
The whole article is divided into 3 parts i.e. Opportunities in higher education, need of global tie ups and research based education. So let’s start with the first one that is opportunity in higher education. Its pity to see that, only 8% of the population reaches to the level of higher education. Governments (central and states) jointly have invested lakhs of crores... but what did they get in return... nill bate sannata... as we don’t know that what actually do we need from this education.
Coping With Exam Stress
The exam season is inevitably associated with words like stress, tension, worries and pressures in our minds. Be it when the exams are approaching, ongoing or when awaiting the exam results. Moreover, the stress levels increase not only for the students, but also for their parents, teachers, tutors, family members at large! However, the ultimate onus eventually falls back on the student, who is responsible for not only working towards performing successfully in the exams, but also to be able to manage the accompanying stressors eff ectively. Furthermore, besides the academic workloads, these additional stressors could vary from the worry of their parents, the expectations of the teachers, the comparison and competition with their peers, or the nagging from their tutors.
