THERE were some whispers, mild murmurs and plenty opinions on whether December-January 2018 saw the lowest tourist turnout in Goa over the last few years.
The jury is out on that and one will not be able to conclude for sure until the official figures are released. However, there are many opinions that travellers, locals and expats, all with some kind of a connection to Goa, have voiced on areas that require urgent attention to ensure Goa’s popularity as one of the world’s most sought after beach destinations does not dwindle.
Everyone who cares for Goa seems to agree that the game needs to be ramped up to attract tourists who have swayed towards other Asian destinations that are seen to provide better value like Thailand, Bali and Sri Lanka.
A strong vision for improving Brand Goa’s image along with sweeping infrastructural changes are needed to turn the tide.

There are several spaces already catering to fill in this gap and we have observed a surge in this section as more people are making lifestyle changes and considering conscious food choices.
