John and Christian Glen, 1st April 2017.
Deciding where to renew their vows, John and Christine had a sneaking suspicion that Ingliston Country Club would win out overall. “We visited three or four venues, and even shortlisted two,” says John, “but when it came to Ingliston, it was our favourite by miles.” The couple had previously enjoyed family meals at the country club and had always been impressed by the layout and the helpful staff. “We just love the place.”
The couple booked their big day a year and one month before the event. They visited a wedding fair at Ingliston and spoke to Ian Maxwell, the manager at the venue. “We had spotted the Winter Wonderland package and asked Ian about whether our date could be accommodated – we were planning our vow renewal for 1st April. But this was outside the package’s availability.” The couple’s disappointment was short-lived, however. “Instead of sending us away, Ian matched the price of the Winter Wonderland package for our date,” smiles John. “It was a personal touch that really impressed us.”
