WHEN I began to research our book about rescue cats and cat rescuers, I, too, felt a bit lost.
I had no idea of the drama and heartbreak I would encounter on the journey that lay ahead.
There was plenty of dark before the dawn. But along the way, I discovered the stories of so many people who had really cared about cats, and were doubtless loved in return. In my own small way, as an adopter of two rescue cats, I know a little of how that feels.
That’s the thing about cats. We humans invited them into our homes centuries ago and soon discovered that they could be the most loving of companions.
