Yummy, delicious, tasty and finger-licking good, descriptive words that are not synonymous with healthy food choices. We often struggle to achieve a balance between eating healthy and appeasing our taste buds. The struggle is real. But what if we said that there are options that serve both taste palate and nourish the body. Karima Farid spoke to three such enterprising women who have set to change the way we view healthy eating. Meet Amira Sultan, blogger and creator of Healthy at 30 Guiltless Treats along with Fatma Al Barram and Mariam Al Raisi, owners of Saha W Hana, a cafe that promotes healthy eating.
AMIRA SULTAN
Eating right is not easy, and taking a healthy approach in our environment can be extremely frustrating. But lately many new options are arising and holistic solutions are being introduced. It is my utmost pleasure to introduce you to Amira Sultan and her inspiring story. Amira is a Certified Nutritionist who completely changed her life for the better, and a survivour, who beat the odds by making a significant difference in her own lifestyle. Her blog is changing lives, because it’s a guide for amazing and tasty recipes (I’ve tried 6) and also great tips that can put us back on track. I have tried her ‘Guiltless Treats’ and my personal favourite is ‘Twixx Goodness’. Other items are also available, such as ‘Madeleine Heaven’, ‘Choco Cupcakes’, ‘Matcha Coconut Balls’, ‘Choco Date Balls’ and more! Sounds intriguing, right? Amira is a thirty-something mother of two beautiful children (boy & girl) and we think she is surely a ‘super mama’!
