What puts you off travelling? For us it is the tedious travel times and flying. It becomes all the more tiresome when you have overactive toddlers. But why use it as an excuse not to travel. Farzeen Ashik’s been there done that and here’s what she’s learnt.
I love to travel but I hate flying. Sounds a bit off doesn’t it? It’s a fact though. And to make matters even more complicated I have an energetic toddler who gets all hyper excited whenever we are on the move. Pretty sure there are others in the same boat as I am. So what do we travellers do to keep our sanity and land in our destinations in one piece?
Here are a few tips to make your journey less of a nightmare:
1. Book non-stop flights: While budget concerns may drive us to opt for connecting flights, families with toddlers should think twice before they jump right in. Taking two or three flights with long layovers (or even short ones) can turn out to be a nightmare both for your child and for yourself. You end up exhausted and irritated and by the time you reach your destination you are too worn out to enjoy its pleasures. Choose convenience over price until your child is at least over five years old.
