‘Danny Has Changed My Whole View On Christmas'

At 59, Shirley Ballas is looking and feeling fabulous. She’s got the top job on one of Britain’s favourite TV shows and a new boyfriend who has turned her world upside down – in a good way. Despite all of the great things in her life right now, there’s no doubt Shirley has put up with her fair share of hardships. But, after two divorces and relocating to the UK, where she can be closer to her mum, Audrey – who is battling cancer – the multi-award-winning professional dancer still manages to look on the bright side of life. ‘My mum has taught me that the clock is ticking and you have to enjoy every moment – you cannot replace time,’ Shirley tells Woman. ‘If you use your time well and you have your health you are already a millionaire and everything else is secondary.’

Now, as the festivities draw closer, Shirley is more excited than ever to celebrate with her loved ones, including her boyfriend, Danny Taylor, 46, and she’s hoping there might even be a ring under the tree this year…

It’s important to show your gratitude for where you are in your life and for those around you. I think it’s about spending quality time with them.

It’s your first one with your boyfriend…
