Shirley Ballas is known for making sure her body is, as she puts it, ‘telly-ready’ for Strictly Come Dancing, and has previously confessed to intermittent fasting and religiously weighing herself every day in the run-up to the show.
This year is particularly important, as the head judge is also celebrating her 60th birthday. But, feeling far from her usual confident self, Shirley has revealed that she’s put on 20lb during lockdown and has gone from a size six to a size 10 in 12 weeks.
She told The Sun, ‘I am fat. I can’t fit in my trousers, but I am not going up another dress size. I have gained 20lb [since] you last photographed me, but I am 6lb down this morning.’
