‘It still feels quite strange being a Dame. The day itself was really nerve-racking, but it was so lovely to go down to London with my family. I got my CBE a few years ago, and I thought that was going to be the last time I’d ever go to Buckingham Palace, so to go back a few years later and get a damehood was really special. Am I going to make people call me Dame Jessica now? Not at all!’
