For former Loose Women panellist and TV star Jane McDonald, there’s only one Christmas present on her list this year – quality time with her long-term partner Eddie Rothe.
Jane has been with Eddie for over a decade, eight years of which they have been engaged. Eddie was her teenage sweetheart, and they started seeing each other again romantically in 2008 after the breakdown of her second marriage to her former manager, Henrik Brixen. Her first marriage in 1986 lasted just a year.
It’s Eddie, former drummer with The Searchers, who Jane creditsfor much of her happiness and confidence. Theirs is, she reveals, a great partnership, even though Jane is often away filming her Channel 5 TV shows, during which large chunks of the year are spent apart.
Now, as Jane releases her long-awaited autobiography Riding the Waves, charting her life from anxious child to superstar performer, she tells Woman why she has decided to talk candidly about her life story and why Eddie is her ideal man…
