Now in the best shape of his life, the 47-year-old said he got fat to hide his failures, hoping he’d become ‘invisible’ to adoring fans.
'Not being recognised feels wonderful,’ he said in his new autobiography A Better Me. ‘The more weight i put on, the easier life becomes. Fat, i’m invisible. With every day and every binge, I am eating the pop star to death.’
