‘Ryan is a very HANDS-ON DAD!'

Lucy Mecklenburgh opens up about life as a new mum in lockdown, with her fiancé Ryan Thomas and their baby boy, Roman

Becoming a mum for the first time is daunting for anyone, but for Lucy Mecklenburgh, it had its added stresses. She gave birth to her and fiancé Ryan Thomas’ son, Roman, on 12 March, shortly before the country went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this meaning they couldn’t show off their little one to friends and family, former TOWIE star Lucy, 29, tells us how being in ‘a little bubble’ with actor Ryan, 36, brought them closer, and how much she’s loving being a mum. And, with her best friend Lydia Bright giving birth to daughter Loretta Rose the month before her, Lucy says how they’re already planning their children’s wedding!

Congratulations, Lucy! What’s the best thing about being a mum?

The unconditional love you feel for your baby is incredible and something I never imagined. It’s that feeling of doing absolutely anything for them, it’s lovely.
