Fan favourite Kirsty tells Woman’s Day she’s “definitely” hoping her appearance on The Block moves her music career along – in fact, the country singer is releasing her new single, For Love, this week!

“People say things like, ‘Ugh, she’s only on the show to boost her career.’ Well, I’d be stupid not to,” says Kirsty, 34, who is keen to follow in the footsteps of another Blockhead – Amity Dry – who had a Top 10 hit with her album The Lighthouse in 2003 when she appeared on the show’s first season.

“I was actually in the middle of recording an album when we found out that we’d made The Block,” Kirsty adds.
