David Hasselhoff weds the girl of his dreams

It was a lavish Italian wedding full of romance, but David Hasselhoff says the highlight of his big day was a simple one – laying eyes on his bride Hayley Roberts as she arrived at the altar.

“The most incredible moment was when I saw Hayley’s face,” confesses the iconic star of Baywatch and Knight Rider. “She just looked magical and it’s a moment I’ll always remember. I didn’t watch her walk down the aisle as I wanted seeing her to be a surprise. She looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress.”

But there was another reason David, 66, kept his eyes straight ahead as the bride made her entrance to the sound of Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You”.

He admits, “I’m usually so emotional – I cry at game shows – but I said to myself, ‘I’m not going to cry.’ If I’d turned around when she was walking down the aisle, I would have gone.”

In the end, it was a day completely free of tears but full of love and laughter as the actor wed Welsh model Hayley, 38, who wore a tulle Galia Lahav gown, in the olive grove of a stunning 15thcentury villa in Puglia.
