Anti-Aging Treatments Women Should Know

It’s an accepted fact that ageing is part and parcel of life. And yet, no one wants to get old. After you cross forty, fine lines appear. Over the years, the lines turn into ugly wrinkles and under eye bags start resembling the udders of a cow. And that’s when you start wondering, does the fountain of youth exist? The answer is; not really. However, scientists are working on treatments that not only slow down ageing but can even reverse the clock. By any yard stick, this is wonderful news! Here are a few treatments that scientists and researchers are looking into this year.

DNA repair substances

NMN is a precursor of the metabolite NAD+. When mice were treated with NMN, which is basically found in all the cells that take part in the repair of DNA, the cell’s ability to repair damaged DNA due to radiation exposure or aging improved. After a week’s treatment with the substance, it was found that the cells of the older mice were almost identical to the cells of younger mice. It was in the late 2017, that researchers and scientists began trails on humans. Over the next three to five years, researchers are optimistic about developing a safe and effective anti-ageing drug.
