You may rightly call her as the girl who took the internet by storm with her mint-fresh spunk, which instantly connected with the Gen X.
Women Fitness India gets in a candid chat with the OTT star on journey, fitness and love for acting!
Mithila you began your career with a debut in the Marathi industry and today you are one of the most famous OTT stars and influencing personality, how would you describe your journey as?
I started my career with OTT itself actually. My first ever film was a Bollywood film ‘Katti Batti’ where I had played a supporting role. The Marathi debut happened fairly later and I actually started my tryst with acting on the Internet and in between all these projects happened. My journey so far has been absolutely overwhelming in a good way. All of this happened so fast that I didn’t get the time to catch up on everything that was going on but it’s a surreal feeling to look back at my journey.
You mentioned once that coming from a non-film family your family did not first approve your decision to be an actor, how did you convince them and how do they look at your journey now?
I kind of had to negotiate with my grandfather on my decision to pursue acting with him being absolutely not in favour of films. I told him and I knew that I am not an unreasonable or impractical person so I asked for those 6-12 months to figure this out. If I cannot and if I realise that this is not meant for me, I will voluntarily move on. I just wanted that chance to at least experiment and see if it's going anywhere because I never acted professionally before. I needed a fair chance of giving my acting passion that time & commitment it needed and only then to gauge whether this is meant for me or not.
