Billie Eilish

Bllie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born a little over three months after the 9/11 (September 11, 2001) terror attacks took place in the U.S.; this American singer was born on December 18 of the same year.

She was born to part-time-actor, full-time-artist parents committed to homeschooling their two super-creative kids (including her elder brother Finneas) at Highland Park, Los Angeles. Her parents helped teach music classes to young students. Additionally, her mother wrote songs and her father played the piano and ukulele. This sparked a love for music in both children. While growing up, Billie saw Finneas fall in love with music. The musical vibe in the house inspired Billie to make a career in music. She grew up listening to the music of The Beatles and Avril Lavigne.

Even though Billie was homeschooled that did not stop her from participating in extracurricular activities. She loved acting in home-made films and sang and danced whenever she got the chance. She joined the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus at the age of eight, where she learned music theory and how to sing without destroying her vocal chords, developing the soulful vocals that would later appear on her early singles. By the time she turned 11, she had begun writing and singing her own songs. Dance was another passion of hers. With a plethora of skills, she set her eyes on making a career in show business.
