Let’s begin with our most popular association with this being. King Julien XIII from Madagascar, the film we all love and adore for the music and the characters. One in particular that’s the focus here is the lemur who rules over Madagascar, his puny stature belying his status. The ring-tailed lemur is self-centred and later grows into a self-sacrificing king, ruling with his staff and his sidekick, over the Kingdom of Madagascar. Everyone fell in love with the lemur post the success of the film and we hope the fourth franchise will be out soon. Till then, here’s the lemur from Africa – the most endangered mammal in the world today owing to the depletion of their natural forest habitat.
